Plan 7 Endurance Coaching – Individual Coaching Plan Details
The design of Plan 7 Endurance Coaching’s training plans is to individualize a program for athletes assisting them in achievement of their goals. As a team, both athlete and coach discuss each aspect of the plan from goals to events to daily training and time constraints to put us on a path for success. Success may be found in race results, personal bests, or just finishing that effort you previously imagined as impossible.
Each plan is individualized. There are no two that match up since each individual’s strengths and weaknesses are unique. The athlete’s plan is based on his or her goals, capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and life’s constraints on time in general.
The individually tailored plan is the foundation among the four different personal coaching options. The primary difference between the four options is the amount of feedback and contact between the athlete and the coach and opportunities for testing.
All of the plan options require at least a three-month commitment. This commitment demonstrates the athlete’s dedication to following the coach’s prescription for success as well as to their stated goals. Furthermore, this allows adequate time for the coach/athlete relationship to develop.
Plan 7 Level 4
Plan 7 Level 4 is for an athlete who wants to work one-on-one with Plan 7 Endurance Coaching’s Dave Harward or Mark Deterline having access to the maximum amount of input and feedback. This training program is customized to meet your individualized needs, whether you are a professional athlete trying to gain that extra 1% or on an extremely time constrained schedule. A close coach/athlete relationship will be established. Dave or Mark will guide the athlete through his/her program providing attention as the athlete learns what is expected of them, how to implement the workouts, and how to interpret the way their body responds to the training. Power testing is a must at all points through the season. You will come in for a testing session every 4 to 6 weeks to ensure your training is on track. Training logs are reviewed daily and all e-mail and phone calls are returned within 24 hours.

Plan 7 Level 3
Plan 7 Level 3 is a program for an athlete who wants to work one-on-one with Plan 7 Endurance Coaching’s Dave Harward or Mark Deterline and have access to input and feedback. A close coach/athlete relationship will be established. Dave or Mark will guide the athlete through his/her program providing attention as the athlete learns what is expected of them, how to implement the workouts, and how to interpret the way their body responds to the training. Power testing is a must throughout your training plan. Testing sessions are typically scheduled every 8-10 weeks during the off-season to ensure your training is on track. Training, power and heart rate logs are reviewed weekly.

Plan 7 Level 2
Plan 7 Level 2 is a program for an athlete who wants to work with Plan 7 Endurance Coaching’s Mark Deterline or Dave Harward and have access to input and feedback on a bi-weekly basis. A close coach/athlete relationship will be established. Mark or Dave will guide the athlete through his/her program as the athlete learns what is expected of them, how to implement the workouts, and how to interpret the way their body responds to the training. Training, power and heart rate logs are reviewed every 3 to 4 weeks when your next training segment is built. Testing is an additional expense with this program.

Plan 7 Level 1
The Plan 7 Level 1 program provides an athlete with a structured training plan based on their goals and objectives. This is a great plan for someone with a specific event in mind. Once the plan is built there is no oversight by the coach. The athlete is self-coached.

Individual Consultation
Individual Consultation is for the athlete who has a solid idea on what they would like to accomplish and simply need some advice or expertise. Sit down with the coach to analyze goals and training objectives. Get outside for a ride with Dave or Mark to work on cornering and descending skills, improve your sprint form, or just have him analyze your riding skills in general. You can also perform a power test using your bike on the CompuTrainer and have Dave and Mark build your power and heart rate training zones.
Dave and Mark will use their experience and skills to take your training and performance to a higher level.

POSE Running
POSE Running is for the athlete who wants to become the most efficient and injury-free runner possible. Following the techniques of Dr. Romanov in POSE Method, we will analyze your running and help you develop it into a smooth technique leading to more efficiency and avoiding common running injuries. POSE Running sessions are set up individually to make the most of the time and coaching. Dave Harward is a POSE Method trained coach. Training plans can be set up or you can choose to do individual training sessions.
